What you use along with how you use it, could be working against your face instead of enhancing your looks. Old habits die hard. But it’s better to ditch these make up obsessions than to look older than your years.
Glitter, glitter on the eyes Glitter is like the herpes in art and craft. So goes the saying. In a similar fashion, all that glitters is not gold, especially when it’s on your eyelids.
Metallic, shimmery eye shadows can look harsh and make you look older since they enhance the appearance of wrinkles and highlight every little fine line around your eyes. Try matte eye shadows instead. They make you look softer and younger. Try matte eye shadows in champagne or pearly white for a clean finish. It will hide your imperfections. Keep glitter to bare minimum. Apply a thin line of glittery eyeliner if you must.
Let’s talk lipstick It’s common knowledge that lips cease to look fuller and plumper as you age. Applying dark and metallic lipsticks will make your lips even more thinner and severe than they are. Lipsticks in matte formulas will make your lips dryer while highlighting all the fine lines around your mouth. If you are partial to dark shades and nudes and pinks are not your thing opt for lipsticks in softer, warmer shades. Avoid dark lipsticks during the day and try easing into softer, natural colours. Try lipsticks that are moisturising and glide on easily. Your aim should be to make your lips look plumper and less sever. Avoid glosses that are metallic, dazzling with glitter and overly shiny. Soft, fresh colours will give your lips a plumper, youthful look.
